Daiwa Rod and Penn fishing reel. Old vintage style - fiber glass in DAKABIN, Queensland for sale

For sale is a Penn fishing reel with a Daiwa rod.
The Penn master mariner #349 is a narrow spool (a little easier to lay the line without a level wind), twin bearing reel that Is constructed like a mac truck. It is a genuine USA not Asian Penn and the gears are big and made of brass. All the metal is chromed brass and extremely strong. The gearing is a low 2.3:1 but the handle has 2 spindle slots so you can set it up for more speed or more power. It has a capacity of 300yds@30lb but in these days of thin monos and braid you can stretch that out quite a way. The reel has a reel seat clamp and harness rings. The application is deep sea, bit there is no reason why it won't make a fine troll or live bait reel for gamefishing.
The rod is a diawa fiberglass design.
